eDacq - EMMS Data ACQuisition

At the heart of our systems is the eDacq data acquisition and analysis product. eDacq is a flexible PC-based data logger and display work station. Purpose built analyser modules are integrated into the software and configured for your application. Additional analysers may be added at any time, to keep your laboratory flexible and up-to-date. eDacq is a powerful data collection and display tool, designed for high productivity and reproducible results.

A typical eDacq display, showing whole body plethysmography data

Waveforms from the transducers are displayed and analysed in real-time. From each cycle (for example one breath), built-in analyser modules derive various parameters. For instance, flow is digitally integrated breath-by-breath to calculate Tidal Volume and zero flow crossings are timed to calculate frequency. Derivations can be combined, averaged, displayed and recorded to a disk file. These files become the record of the experiment. Wave shape data is recorded to a disk file for post experiment replay and analysis. The real-time trend display shows the overview of the entire experiment. Calibration is clear, simple and accurate. eDacq is fully compliant with GLP and FDA Final Rule 21 CFR Part 11, for submission of electronic records and electronic signatures.

eDacq also captures real time video images with user defined frame rates and compression ratios. These videos can be used later to assess behavioral parameters.
